What is MRI Evolution?
MRI Evolution is a CAFM (computer-aided facilities management) platform used to run reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), assets, compliance, contractor management, mobile working and reporting across single sites, complex estates and multi-client FM portfolios.
It originated as Concept Evolution from FSI, was rebranded after MRI Software acquired FSI in 2020, and is typically deployed alongside the FSI GO mobile app for engineers in the field. It's the system most UK FM teams mean when they say "MRI" in a maintenance context — sister products MRI Horizon (SaaS CAFM) and MRI Qube (property and accounting) cover different jobs.

Concept Evolution (legacy)
Original FSI product line, rebranded after MRI Software acquired FSI in 2020. Many UK FM teams still run a Concept-era deployment with legacy add-ons and on-prem databases.
MRI Evolution v6
The mature, widely deployed generation — web client, FSI GO mobile app, Crystal/SSRS reporting, SQL Server back end. The version most live UK estates are operating today.
MRI Evolution v7
Current generation. Modernised UI, refreshed mobile experience, expanded API surface and clearer upgrade path for cloud hosting. Migration from v6 needs planning around customisations, reports and integrations.

Yes. Concept Evolution was the original FSI product. After MRI Software acquired FSI in 2020 the product was rebranded to MRI Evolution. The underlying platform, database structure and FSI GO mobile app are the same lineage — many live UK estates still refer to it as Concept.
What's the difference between MRI Evolution v6 and v7?
v7 introduces a modernised UI, a refreshed mobile experience, an expanded API surface and a cleaner path to cloud hosting. The data model is largely compatible, but custom screens, bespoke reports and older integrations need to be reviewed and re-tested as part of the upgrade.
How does MRI Evolution compare to MRI Horizon and MRI Qube?
Evolution is MRI's enterprise CAFM platform aimed at FM operations. Horizon is the SaaS-first CAFM product (FSI's cloud-native line). Qube comes from MRI's property management heritage and focuses on property, leases and accounting rather than maintenance operations. Most UK FM teams asking about 'MRI' for maintenance are on Evolution.
Can we get independent support without going through MRI Software?
Yes. We're an independent UK consultancy — not a reseller and not part of MRI Software. We work alongside MRI and its partners but our advice and configuration is vendor-neutral and focused on your operation. You keep your direct licensing and support relationship with MRI.
Do you work with live deployments or only new implementations?
Both. Most of our work is with teams who already have MRI Evolution running and need to tighten PPM coverage, clean up asset data, sharpen reporting, harden compliance workflows or cover staff gaps. We also lead full implementations and v6 → v7 upgrades.
How long does an MRI Evolution implementation take?
A focused single-contract or single-site rollout typically runs 8–12 weeks. Multi-contract or estate-wide implementations are usually phased over 3–6 months. We work in fixed-scope phases so you see value after each one rather than waiting for a big-bang go-live.
What does it cost?
Discovery health-checks start from £2,500. Project consultancy is from £950/day or fixed-scope per phase. Managed service engagements start from £3,500/month. Final scope and pricing depend on your estate size, number of contracts and integration footprint — we quote fixed scope wherever possible.
